11.Troubleshooting

Preliminary procedures

Changes in the electronic equipment configuration on board or the Central Process Unit Alba-CPU connection can affect the Albatross System configuration. Usual examples of these changes are:

  • Modification of instances of the Albatross modules by any NMEA device beyond control.
  • Ethernet network deconfiguration in sending data due to a modification in the Central Process Unit.

If you suspect that the problem persists, please be assured firstly if all EMC (Electromagnetic Compliance) requirements are fully complied before figuring out in detail what the problem was caused by originally.

The Albatross modules do not show any activity (red LED switched off)

Problems in power supply or connection problems

Check power supply
Check the fuse or circuit protector
Check connection between modules

The Albatross modules are blocked (red LED constantly flashing)

Problem in the connection between modules or a termination resistor of the NMEA bus is missing

Check all connections and add the termination resistor to the network

End-user interface does not starts and shows the message “authentification failureâ€

The licence activation keys were not introduced or failure in the basic licence introduction

Check the activation keys through the Albatross Install Tool Setup

The displays or software or show the data but not accurately

Incorrect module configuration

Check module / s configuration

One data type (ej. Battery voltage) is not showed on display or end-user interface

Sensor information not identify

Check sensor
Check connections between sensor and Albatross modules

An incorrect page configuration appears in the end-user interface

Incorrect configuration selection

Select the desired configuration through the software Alba-CPU Server selection

The End-user interface does not start

Central Process Unit disconnection (monitoring central device)

Check that the Alba-CPU is connected and running properly

The End-user interface stops showing information

There is a network connection failure in the bus power supply or failure in the Alba-USB connection

Check the network power supply
Check the bus NMEA power supply
Check connections with the Alba-USB

The end-user interface does not show data in some pages

Failure in the licence keys introduction

Check the activation keys through the Albatross Install Tool Setup
